Grilled sesame with yuzu - 115g

Sesame is a spice that has been cultivated for around 5,000 years, first for its oil and then for its use in cooking. Sesame is very popular in Japan, the Japanese sprinkle it in their rice. Yuzu is a citrus fruit from Eastern Asia. It arrived in Japan around the year 700. It closely resembles a lemon, approximately 6 cm in diameter.

Its taste is similar to tangerine and yellow grapefruit. Yuzu sesame is in the composition of two very well-known mixtures in Japan, firstly Furikake, a mixture of fragrant sesame and seaweed.

As well as Gomasio, a mixture of flavored toasted sesame and salt. These two mixtures happily replace our French salt and pepper.
