Saint-Chinian Schiste intense AOP red 2020 - 75cl

To the north of the village, the first foothills of the Espinouse massif offer schist soils. This vintage is a selection of Syrah and Grenache grapes grown on this very special terroir. Schists are rocks which appear in the form of friable sheets, the vine during hot and very dry summer periods inserts its roots deep into this soil which retains a little moisture at depth. Ideal for growing vines, the wine from this terroir is fruity, round and generous.

Intense red color, carmine reflections.
Very blackcurrant nose developing notes of black pepper typical of shale wines.
Round mouthfeel with subtle and elegant tannins.
Very nice length in the finish.

Service temperature 16°C to 18°C.
Ideal to accompany veal osso bucco or duck breast with honey.
