With a sweetening power 50 times greater than ordinary sugar, Licorice helps cut bitterness. It therefore goes particularly well with dark chocolate but also with many vegetables.

Licorice gives off fresh and aniseed flavors which, when dosed precisely according to the dishes - sweet or savory - brings a touch of sweetness that is often surprising and much appreciated.

Licorice powder mixes very simply with flours and dried fruits to flavor cake, biscuit or other doughs. For a pan of fruit, vegetables or poultry, Licorice powder infused hot in oil becomes a very original cooking base.
