Easy to fill, piadina is a delicious Italian culinary specialty originating from Emilia-Romagna, a flatbread popular throughout Italy. Its original recipe contained lard, but has since been replaced with extra virgin olive oil. It can be used as a wrap or as a thin pizza base, and topped with various Italian specialties such as ham, salami, mortadella, cheeses, sundried tomatoes, and lettuce.
