Gosset creates a vintage Extra-Brut champagne of great elegance

The property: Heritage of traditional know-how, the Maison de Champagne Gosset perpetuates its style through the centuries. The Gosset family has been established in Aÿ, Grand Cru de Champagne since the 16th century. For 16 generations, Maison Gosset has perpetuated excellence, the guardian of which today is Odilon de Varine, cellar master and deputy general director of the house. The house's champagnes are recognizable in particular by the shape of their bottle, a legacy of the “antique” bottles used in the 18th century.

The vineyard: Maison Gosset owns plots in the Grands and Premiers Crus of Champagne from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. The approximately 140 hectares of vineyards are planted in the crus of Cumières, Courmas, Chamery, Avenay, Vertus, Villers-Marmery, Grauves, Avize Trépail and Cuis.

The vintage: This 2002 vintage is an exceptional year, characterized by very healthy grapes with beautiful acidity. The Chardonnay then expresses its minerality, aromas of flowers and exotic fruits while the Pinot Noir assumes its complexity through notes of red and black fruits with spicy and brioche touches.

The wine: The Celebris Vintage Extra Brut 2002 from Gosset is made in particular from the vineyards of Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil sur Oger, Ay, Bouzy Verzy.

Vinification and aging: No malolactic fermentation. Aging before marketing is 10 years and the rest time after disgorging is 6 months. The dosage of this vintage is 5g/l.

Blend: This Celebris Vintage Extra Brut 2002 from Gosset is made from a blend of Chardonnay (52%) and Pinot Noir (48%).

Dress
Clear, the color is a beautiful golden color.

Nose
Complex and frank, the nose combines notes of Victoria pineapple, yellow fruits and pear with a touch of violet.

Mouth
The palate is limpid and very precise. The palate seduces with its freshness, its purity as well as its fruity aromas. The finish exudes refreshing lemony notes.
