Vadouvan traditional spice mix - 100g

“Vadouvan” is a traditional blend of spices inspired by traditional Indian curries. This original composition would find its origins in the region of Pondicherry in the south of India, a former French colony.

In this mixture, we find the essential spices of traditional Indian curries such as turmeric, carry leaves, coriander, fenugreek, ginger and many others... to which are added some “French” touches typical of our cuisine such as shallot, onion and garlic.

It is therefore no coincidence that the Anglo-Saxons call this mixture of spices “French curry” or “French curry”!

Coming directly from India, very fragrant and colorful, this traditional Indian spice blend will delight all lovers of the refined flavors of Indian cuisine.

Vadouvan, unlike other Indian curries, does not sting, it does not contain chili peppers and it is the black mustard seeds and garlic that give the mixture a boost. The onion, almost candied before being dried, also brings a sweet touch. It is a mixture with very complex aromas which owes its subtlety as much to the number and great variety of its ingredients as to its method of preparation.
