This salt's delicate smoky flavor and striking gray-brown color come from fire-drying alder or hickory wood. Harvested from the Pacific waters of Washington State, it's named after the Salish Indian tribes who have been making it for centuries. Its incredibly smoky aroma is more subtle on the palate than on the nose, and its strong saltiness allows for moderate use.
Perfect for seasoning meats and grilled foods, it remains fine enough to accompany all your dishes, salads, fish, sauces, soups and spreads, and of course the traditional American breakfast!
