Hermitage Chevalier de Sterimberg Jaboulet white 2018 - 75cl
Hermitage Chevalier de Sterimberg Jaboulet white 2018 - 75cl
The Hermitage Chevalier de Stérimberg takes its name from the small chapel built in 1235 by Knight Gaspard de Stérimberg, under the blessing of Queen Blanche of Castile.
It is a delicious white in the range of wines from the Paul Jaboulet Aîné house, vinified by the very famous oenologist Caroline Frey who manages the estate. The Roussanne (35%) and Marsanne (65%) grape varieties which are used in the blend of this hermitage are planted on clay-limestone and sandy-stony hillsides. The grapes are put into the press immediately after the harvest in order to limit the risk of oxidation. Traditional vinification and aging for 10 to 12 months in wood and on lees give the wine great finesse. The nose is both rich and complex, the wine developing beautiful aromas of pear and honey. On the palate, the power does not detract from the finesse, on the contrary the wine reveals a beautiful elegance.
We advise you to open this wine at a temperature of around 12 degrees. You can pair it with fish, seafood or vegetables, such as grilled lobster or small ones stuffed with vegetables.
