Amazonian Tonka Bean Doypack 250g

This rare tonka bean is found inside a fruit that looks like a small mango but tastes like a Medjool date. It has grown on teak trees in Brazil for centuries, shrinking as it dries to form a hard shell. The seed is then extracted by cracking the shell with a hammer or sword. In fact, it enhances the vanilla flavor of a recipe without altering it. In the Colombian jungle, it is also believed to have medicinal properties.
