The Black Pork of Bigorre is the indigenous pig present in the central Pyrenees since time immemorial.

Recognizable by its black coat and horizontal ears, the Noir de Bigorre pig is a purebred pig that lives freely in its original territory, Bigorre, on the borders of the Hautes Pyrénées, Gers and Haute Garonne.

It is at the foot of the mountains, in this gentle and peaceful landscape of meadows and undergrowth, that the Black Pig of Bigorre moves in small herds to feed, enjoying a healthy diet based on the natural resources of its environment. : grass, acorn, chestnut, triticale cultivated in the geographical area, and other environmental resources. No GMOs.

It grows on pasture on paths made up of grass and bordered by hedges, trees and/or undergrowth.
