Comté is a cheese made from raw cow's milk, produced in the Jura massif between 500 and 1500 m above sea level. Its origins and manufacturing methods make it a cheese with character.
The Comté is the emblem of Franche-Comté, and has been the pride of its region for many years. Today, as an AOP cheese, Comté is only made from the milk of Montbéliarde and Simmental cows, fed exclusively on fodder from the appellation zone.
Comté is a unique cheese, because each of its wheels has a different profile based on various criteria. The maturing time is one of these criteria and thanks to this the Comté Terroir, matured for 5 to 7 months.
All our fresh products are sent in specially designed insulated packages including cooling gels allowing them to be kept cool throughout the journey.
