Sliced as a starter or at the end of a meal with bread, Valbrie pepper cheese retains a creamy flavor despite the presence of this seasoning on the crust. Having a strong affinity with champagne, this type of cheese requires taking into account its seasoning qualities, which modify the approach to pairings. A matured Rivesaltes Muscat with tertiary aromas or a 10-year-old Riesling Furstentum Grand Cru will be perfect complements. For the more adventurous, a chilled raspberry liqueur will do the trick, while red wine lovers will be tempted by a Madiran or matured Cahors Malbecs.
