THE butter Isigny Sainte-Mère is renowned worldwide for the flavor of its Isigny Sainte-Mère milk, a great dairy product naturally rich in nutrients. Its excellence has been recognized since the end of the 16th century and is the result of traditional know-how that is still relevant today. It is a butter both smooth and supple, and "stable" when cooked. It benefits from an exceptional terroir, on the borders of Cotentin and Bessin. The mild and temperate climate of the seaside grows grass full of mineral salts and trace elements. This richness is found in the cows' milk which gives a butter with an inimitable aroma, smoothness and color.
