Juniper Berries - 100g

The origin of gin, juniper berries are characterized by powerful aromas, a little sweet but almost burning, with a piney aftertaste. Present in many recipes from Liège and the Ardennes, they pair perfectly with all game and flavor red wine sauces as well as stews, civets, and pot-au-feu.

They are also widely used for seasoning charcuterie, especially terrines. Juniper berries are used whole, directly in dishes or in the cooking water for vegetables, pasta, or rice. However, they add more flavor when lightly crushed.
