Ume Su is a traditional Japanese seasoning, believed to date back to the Edo period in the 1600s. It is gaining popularity around the world for its unique flavor profile. This plum vinegar is produced from real juice extracted from Japanese Ume plums which give a tangy, salty taste and a pretty natural pink color.
This versatile vinegar can be used in place of a traditional vinegar: its vinegary acidity adds rich flavor to a wide variety of dishes, including salads, dips, vegetables, vinaigrettes, for pickling and even as an ingredient secret in cocktails.
