Roscoff AOP onions ±1kg

The Roscoff AOP onion is characterized by its pinkish color as well as its taste and storage qualities. The Roscoff onion is part of the lily family and comes from a seed brought from Portugal to the Roscoff region by a monk in the mid-17th century.

Thanks to its specific taste qualities, it obtained its AOC recognition in 2009 and its AOP (protected designation of origin) in 2013. The production area of ​​the Roscoff AOP onion is spread over 24 communes around Roscoff.

The AOP guarantees the origin of the product, its natural preservation and the hand-cleaning of each onion, as well as the know-how of Prince de Bretagne market gardeners.

The characteristic packaging of Roscoff onions is the braid which allows them to be preserved better.
