Originally from Egypt, Caraway seeds flavor many Indian dishes but also sauerkraut, stews or certain cheeses and breads. Caraway seeds are slightly aniseed and its taste is close to that of cumin.
Because of their similarities, Caraway is also called "cumin's cousin".
